Mike Akhigbe plots talk-of-the-town wedding for son

The society wedding still on people’s lips is the Shagaya-Tukur wedding which many people refused to simply call a wedding but a carnival.

The wedding will be talked about for a long time but may have to take a rest so soon with Admiral Mike Akhibe and family working round the clock to make sure the wedding of their son becomes not just the wedding of the year but one to set the standard for others to follow.

The wedding which is billed to take place at the luxurious Landmark Village Saturday is set to shift the seat of power from Abuja to Lagos just for that Saturday, as everybody that is anybody within and around the corridors of power is expected to grace the event.

The Lagos state governor and his members of cabinet, including House of Representatives are also expected to be part of the razzmatazz that will descend on Lagos tomorrow. The Oba of Lagos and his chiefs are not left out of the roll-call either.

A source revealed to Society Plus that prior to the engagement that took place yesterday, the couple have been touring Europe shopping for their wedding attires with a blank cheque, courtesy of the father of the groom.

They arrived just only on time for their engagement ceremony yesterday after almost two weeks of lavish shopping. Well, could any one be surprise if they broke the bank, the father of the groom is a man worth his salt, whether that salt is in cash or in kind .

You couldn’t have ruled two states, held fort as second-in-command as the Chief of General Staff then turning out as the president of Nigerian Chambers of Shipping and not draw a lot of water and more, could you?
