CECE WINANS CALLS OUT: COME LET’S SING GOD

American gospel icon, Cece Winans believes true praise and worship will change Ghana when Ghanaians come together in one accord and worship God in spirit and in truth.

According to her, true praise and worship is a matter of the heart which helps in understanding the power of God.

“When you love God and it comes from your heart, that is acceptable praise and worship,” she said in an interview at the studios of Adom FM shortly after arriving in Accra on Tuesday to participate in the 2010 edition of Adom Praiz, a gospel musical concert to honour God for his blessings in the year.

Cece who arrived in Ghana with her band, husband and son, said she is always excited to see people on fire for God and who are serious about worship and praise.

Cece Winans said she looks forward to an explosive event at the Dome of the Accra International Conference Centre, venue of the concert, and urged patrons to come in high on faith and expecting the presence of God.

She also advised other artistes on the programme not to see the programme as a place for competition but to sing God from their hearts rather than the audience to bring down the power of God throughout the event.

“We are part of the same team and everybody is important, sing unto the Lord from your heart and not to the people so that God can move from the beginning to the end”.

Other artistes on the show are Ghana’s own accomplished stars Kwaku Gyasi, Ernest Opoku, Florence Obinim, Soul Winners, No Tribe, Willie and Mike, Tagoe Sisters, DSP Kofi Sarpong, Gifty Osei, Alabaster Box and Bernice Offei.
