AMERICAN HIP-HOP STAR EVE SET TO HOST THE 2010 MAMA’S

Eve Is Coming to Lagos to Host the MAMA's

The third edition of the MTV Africa Music Awards with Airtel is just three days away and the organisers have finally disclosed the final line up of guests and performers for the highly-anticipated event. The MAMA will be hosted by US hip-hop artist and actress Eve and guest presenters will include Dama Do Bling (Mozambique), Liquideep (South Africa) and Nneka(Nigeria/USA). Ex-Nigerian football star, Daniel Amokachi, Nigerian supermodel Oluchi and Nollwood film star Genevieve Nnaji will also be guest presenters at the event.

an house trio Big Nuz and four-time MAMA winner D’Banj (Nigeria) will also mount the stage of Eko Expo Hall, Lagos on 11 December 2010 to perform.

The news was announced yesterday at a press conference at the Eko Hotel & Suites, Lagos, Nigeria by Alex Okosi, Senior Vice President & Managing Director, MTV Networks Africa, in the presence of Mr Opeyemi Bamidele, The Lagos State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Obinna Aniche, Group Marketing Manager, Airtel Africa and Joseph Hundah, Managing Director, Multichoice Nigeria.

MTV Networks Africa also revealed that it has introduced an additional award category for the 2010 edition of the show – the Best Performance category. The winners of this category will be chosen by MTV. The awards now comprises a total of 13 separate award categories including Best VideoBrand:NewArtist of the Year and MAMA Legend.

T-Pain, Big Nuz and D’Banj join previously announced performers Rick Ross (USA), Teargas and company at the third annual MAMA event.
